Canada raises Ontario minimum wage by 65-cents an hour, critics call it ‘not livable’: Does it adequately support the struggling workforce?

Despite Ontario’s recent minimum wage increase to $17.20 per hour, many workers still struggle with the high cost of living, particularly in urban areas. Critics argue this hike does not sufficiently address financial pressures such as rent, food, and utility bills. A livable wage remains much higher.
