Telangana govt resolute in raising reservation quota for backward classes to 42% in jobs and education

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced an increase in reservation for backward classes from 23% to 42% in education, employment, and political representation. He stated this is based on a caste survey showing the backward classes make up 56.36% of the state’s population. This initiative aims to provide better opportunities and representation for the backward classes.
